Gage County United Way is launching our Annual Campaign. Our organization supports 15 local non-profit agencies. In addition, our organization helps finance various special projects throughout Gage County communities. There are many reasons to give to your local United Way!
The donation you give through the campaign stays right here in our community. Last year our partner agencies served over 18,000 Gage County residents!
All funding decisions are made by volunteer board members that live in Gage County. Their time and talents are used to review each agency’s budget and programs to determine funding allocations. This process allows us to distribute dollars to address the community’s most pressing needs, ensuring your gift will be used where it can make the biggest impact!
Each agency receiving funding for its programs must submit a quarterly report describing how United Way funds were spent during the previous quarter.
The donations raised through Gage County United Way impact the entire community, not just one issue, one service, or just one certain population. Our mission is to “Improve people’s lives by focusing on education and youth, financial stability, and the health and wellness of those in our communities.” Giving to the Gage County United Way ensures that you are helping a wide demographic in our community.
Gage County United Way employs one part-time Administrative Coordinator. The volunteer Board of Directors works closely with the coordinator to complete all necessary tasks. Administrative costs make up less than 10% of our total budget; this means over 90% goes directly to local agencies or community projects! Only 1% of our total budget goes to United Way Worldwide. The administrative costs are used to help ensure the funding we allocate is being used properly.
